'The Van Trip' Aftermath: Live Q&A

A live Q&A session with the creators of ‘The Van Trip’ Rob Hamp, Emilia Moniszko and Ivan Petkov.

The focus of this session was FETWWL’s newest intervention, a transient performance ‘The Van Trip’ which took place earlier this month over a period of three days and over 1500 miles driven through England, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

In this far-reaching, transient performance, we will witness artists undertake the transportation of one-tonne of salt & bread on the builder’s open back vehicle from Coventry, United Kingdom to Łódź, Poland.
For the duration of this 2106 mile round journey, Rob Hamp (driver) will play host to a film-maker who will document and live feed the voyage to the global audience through our social media platforms.

Witness our artists load the salt and bread and join Rob & Ivan on their three-day  journey

Join us in Łódź and unload the salt & bread from the vehicle into the gallery space

You can now track the live location of the van and see how and when we will arrive in Łódź

We are From East to West With Love.

We seek how Eastern and Western European mobility can provide for the cultural and creative industries.
We create exhibitions, performances, residencies, public discussions and collaborations as a platform to connect with arts professionals, academics and the local cultural community in learning, engaging, questioning and identifying with the current changes in culture.
We are influenced by the migrational influx of communities from Eastern and Central Europe into the UK which require cultural representation, along with mechanisms allowing for integration with other local communities which already exist within cities that understand themselves through their cultural diversity.
